This was taken a couple of days ago, about ten minutes before I left for work. Whenever Matias sees me using the PSP, he jumps and climbs and says "UNCLE!"

Good weekend overall. Managed to draw a couple of things, take some rust off me. Managed to install the dvd burner without making any explosions. Managed to write some things...

And, of course, it's sunday. I start my shift in 10 hours and I don't want to.

One Year of "Persona"

Exactly one year ago I took the decision to release "Persona - Once More With Feeling" as a free ebook. You can read more about that decision here.

The result? Pretty good, I suppose. Over a thousand and something individual downloads the last time I checked (in... march?) and the books keeps being downloaded every day.

This is a picture taken a couple hours later of the release. First time it snowed in Buenos Aires in about 8o years. It was a weird night, indeed. Two weeks later, Cat #2 died.

Now, I'm older, more tired. More weary. That's the proper word. I had to take a dayjob in order to make a couple of projects run. The price to pay when you refuse to do commissions involving abstract furry sex. Not complaining, of course. Just whishing for the day to have an extra twelve hours :)

I'd better go get some sleep. I'm totally crumbling.

And, of course, thanks to all of you who downloaded the book, who wrote to me about it, who spread the word.

It seems I've abandoned everything in the last weeks...

Work is good, life in general is good. I'm not drawing that much in these days... blame the six/seven hours a day I spend with my ass on a bus. On these days I'm mostly writing. I'm feeling another shake-up in the way I'm working, and everything seems to be pointing me at 2009.

Being 27 (thanks to everyone who wrote, btw. I'll send you love and bisquits) is feeling surpisingly good. I got myself a PSP as a borthday present, I can't believe how much I missed being able to play something on a proper console :)

Anyways. Gotta run. Just wanted to say hi. How are you doing, internet?

Just a quick update: I took a dayjob last week, so time's been some sort of issue. The good news is that I'm drawing, I'm working on things that hopefully will be around to see, and I'll have some more cash on my pockets.

Of course, among the nad news is that I won't be checking the nets as much as I used to, but it's fine by me...

The idea behind this blog was to allow me to post things that I like that, one way or the other, end up reflected on my work. "I'm a sum of all these things, and some more", so to speak. Time and the lack of a pc (until next week) conspired a little against me in the last days, but starting next week I'll try to post as much artwork as I can. We'll see how it goes.

So, not knowing anything about what's going on in the world now, I leave. I've activated the Twitter plugin again, so at least you'll have some incoherent ramblings to read.

So, how have you been, Internet?

This week just keeps on getting weird. So, a quick recap:

I've been running all week from place to place. Apparently, I've found a full time job that will allow me to move to the city and save some money for a couple of very important projects that I have. I only need to wait for the phone call, and then we'll see.

Two days ago, my father's car exploded. I was inside of it with my mother. She was driving me to the station, I needed to make a trip to the city and was quite in a hurry. We're both fine, but it was a quite weird experience. on my Twitter account I made a short recap of it on the same day it happened. The car is now home, and we need to wait for the insurance and the mechanic to come see it. We're both fine, but I'm left wondering about my famous bad luck.

The PC is already fixed, I only need to go see the tech guys and bring it home. Wich is a problem, because we don't have a car, and I can't make the trip by bus. It will probably be resolved around the weekend.

The good news is that I'm still drawing a lot. When the PC is back, I have quite a number of things to show.

So, how's it going over there?

Sorry about the lack of contact, but my pc exploded. Literally, the thing went "boom!". I don't know when I'll be able to fix the damned thing, but I'll try to make it fast as I can. The good news is that the only thing I've been doing is draw, draw and draw. Scans soon, I hope.

Can you help me make a little experiment?

I need to make a comic to try a little format experiment. Short thing, eight pages at most, six panel grid. I can whip out a short story for it, but I'd like to give it another spin. I'd like to draw things I'm not used to.

So, can you post a comment here saying something that you'd like me to draw?

Nothing fancy, just name the first thing that comes to your mind. "A Frog", or something like that.

Just in case: no, the thing won't be for sale in any way. At best I'll post the result of it here and on the website.

Jornadas del Manga y el Anime 2008 - The Report

Last weekend NK Press was present at the "Jornadas del Manga y el Anime", on the Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires.

Since my camera died, I was able to take a couple of pictures with Lucila's camera. Not as many as I would have liked, but hey, it's something :)

This stone is from Hiroshima. I'll see if I can dig some more details on this, since the memories I have about this are dodgy, but I remember that it was quite interesting...

Scared of Girls is the first issue of the comic made by Mako-Fufu, Ludeshka and Derrewyn. You need to read it, for it's awesome.

I made this during the weekend, at the con we attended (report coming up soon). Ballpen on the sketchbook. The blue is a layer of ink I applied to the page previously. I’ve discovered recently that I enjoy drawing zombies quite a lot, despite not being a huge fan of the genre. I saw a couple of movies, I like a lot the Resident Evil games (and the movies. But I like them because of Milla Jovovich), I like to read The Walking Dead whenever I can…
