Jornadas del Manga y el Anime 2008 - The Report

Last weekend NK Press was present at the "Jornadas del Manga y el Anime", on the Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires.

Since my camera died, I was able to take a couple of pictures with Lucila's camera. Not as many as I would have liked, but hey, it's something :)

(Thanks, Luli! I owez yer)

Before jumping into the fray, some photos of the place. I haven't been in the garden for
a couple of years at least...

Look at the previous photo. Turn 180° from where I was standing, and this is the view:

Back to the first photo. See that person on the first floor? This is the view from there:

This stone is from Hiroshima. I'll see if I can dig some more details on this, since the memories I have about this are dodgy, but I remember that it was quite interesting...

Koi's!

After the pretty things, let's start with the geekage, with a shot of our table:

A close-up of Lucila's wares:

The trivia game, on saturday morning (I think)

At the right of our stand the Scared of Girls crew was presenting their first issue, here I am with Jine. We haven't seen each other for quite some time... Mako is in the background. More pictures of them cosplaying after a little...

Scared of Girls is the first issue of the comic made by Mako-Fufu, Ludeshka and Derrewyn. You need to read it, for it's awesome.

Javier and me on sunday.

Now, some cosplay photos. I couldn't manage to see the parade. Had to be at the table, and it was really packed with people, as you can see here:

(A quick note: I took some of these photos from other sites, making a Google image search. Apologies to the owners)

This one was taken with Luli's camera. Mako and Jine cosplaying Yoko and Kamina from Gurren Lagann:

Mako:

And Jine:

I couldn't see this kid on the floor, but everyone was talking about him. Isn't he amazing?

Finally, after closing everything down on sunday, we all went to Martin's apartment to get something to eat and make some noise. We ordered pizza, and of course it came with a Mad Max soda! Here I am with Vero, holding our bottles of horrors:

And that would be all. I'd like to write a little more, but I'm exhausted, and I have yet a ton of things to do. Next event, I promise...
